Dr. Patrick Shea inspekton nje model rreth 4 kembesh ne gjatesi (1.3 per qind ne shkalle) te gjenerates se re te raketes Space Launch Systems te NASA-s ne nje tunel aerodinamik per testimin ne Qendren Hulumtimeve Ames te NASA-s ne Silicon Valley, Kaliforni. Testet do te ndihmojne ne percaktimin e sjelljes se madhe, te raketes me te fuqishme se si ajo leshohet dhe pershpejton permes pengesave pas nisjes. Per te testuar nje metode te re te matjes optike, inxhiniere e Ames e mbuluan modelin e SLS me nje presion sensivit te paqendrueshem , e cila ndryshon nen ndricimin e zbehte ose te ndritshem ne baze te presionit te ajrit qe vepron ne zona te ndryshme te raketes.
